LONACI AUDIT STRENGTHENS QUALITY CONTROLS
Côte d’Ivoire- National Lottery operator (LONACI) has launched an audit of its quality management system. The review supports its plan to maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification. This is an international standard for quality management.
The audit began at LONACI’s headquarters in Marcory on October 12. It runs until October 16. Auditors will assess how well internal processes work. They will also verify compliance with applicable requirements. In addition, they will identify areas for improvement.
LONACI Brings in an External Firm
Deputy general director Abdoulkarim Ouattara explained the change. LONACI has run its internal audits with its own resources since 2024. Director general Dramane Coulibaly requested that approach. This time, the operator also sought outside help. “To ensure compliance with current standards, we have sought the support of an external firm,” Ouattara said.
That firm is Admyral Consulting. It helps assess the rigour of LONACI’s controls. It also helps prevent any weakening in how teams apply internal procedures.
Quality Goes Beyond Certification
Ouattara stressed that quality must be part of daily work. The goal is not only to keep the certificate. Instead, LONACI wants its management system to work well in practice.
Admyral Consulting auditor Vamara Koné shared a similar view. He described the audit as a support tool, not a policing exercise. “This is not an inspection, but a management tool to improve performance,” Koné said.
Auditors Will Visit Regional Agencies
First, auditors will review quality policies and internal processes at headquarters. Then they will move to regional sites. The team will continue its work at LONACI agencies in Plateau, Aboisso, Yamoussoukro, and Bouaké. This helps check that standards hold across the network.
LONACI Builds on Existing Certifications
The audit adds to LONACI’s strong quality record. The operator renewed its ISO 9001:2015 certification in February 2026. It also holds Level 3 Responsible Gaming certification from the World Lottery Association. As a result, this latest audit forms part of its ongoing quality management efforts.
