Namibia Gambling Board Extends Technology Tender Deadline for Second Time

NAMIBIA– Namibia’s Gambling Board has extended the submission deadline for two technology procurement projects for a second time, giving prospective bidders until November 26, 2026, to submit proposals for a Central Electronic Monitoring System and an integrated licensing and document management platform.

In Public Notice 004 of 2026, issued on November 2, the Board announced that the original November 5 deadline had been moved to November 26, 2026.

The regulator advised interested bidders to continue preparing their submissions in line with the tender documents and any formal clarifications or addenda issued by the procuring entity.

The first procurement, identified as SC/RP/GBN-01/2026, covers the supply, deployment and maintenance of a Central Electronic Monitoring System for the Gambling Board of Namibia. The project has an assignment period of six months.

The second tender, SC/RP/GBN-02/2026, concerns the design, customisation, implementation, support and maintenance of an automated and integrated licensing, workflow infrastructure and document management system. The assignment is scheduled to run for 60 months.

The latest revision follows an earlier extension announced in October, when the Board moved the initial closing date of October 29 to November 5, 2026.

Both projects are intended to strengthen the regulator’s technological capacity, particularly in monitoring gambling operations electronically and modernising its licensing and administrative processes.

However, Public Notice 004 clarified that the deadline for submitting requests for clarification had expired on October 30. The Board also stated that no further clarification requests would be accepted or answered.

The November 26 deadline therefore provides bidders with additional time to complete their proposals, subject to the requirements and conditions outlined in the procurement documents.
