Tanzania Gaming Association Steps Up Push for Sustainable Regulation

TANZANIA- The Tanzania Gaming Association (TGA) has held a consultative meeting with PwC to discuss key issues affecting the gaming industry and approaches to developing a more sustainable regulatory environment.

According to the TGA, the meeting focused on industry challenges and Tanzania’s regulatory framework, as stakeholders continue to explore ways to support the growth and development of the gaming sector.

The association said the engagement forms part of its efforts to strengthen collaboration among industry stakeholders and advocate for the continued development of Tanzania’s gaming industry.

The consultation follows an August 12 engagement involving licensed gaming operators, the TGA and the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), which focused on compliance, stakeholder cooperation and the development of a transparent and sustainable gaming sector.

Tanzania’s gaming industry continues to engage on regulatory matters, with the Gaming Board of Tanzania (GBT) responsible for regulating gaming activities, including licensing, monitoring and compliance.

The latest consultation highlights ongoing efforts by industry stakeholders to strengthen dialogue around regulation while supporting the sustainable growth of Tanzania’s gaming market.
