LNB Opens Door to New Distributors as Lottery Network Grows
BENIN– Benin’s National Lottery is expanding its distribution network and inviting eligible businesses to become Master Distributors, with applicants required to deploy at least 50 lottery terminals in their selected areas.
Applications opened on September 1, 2026, and will remain open until September 30, as LNB seeks to strengthen its sales network and increase the availability of its lottery products nationwide.
The recruitment is targeted at existing businesses with an established primary activity that are interested in commercialising LNB lottery products as a secondary business. Applicants must already operate within their proposed territory and have access to several high-potential points of sale.
In addition, prospective distributors must demonstrate the capacity to coordinate and supervise multiple outlets, maintain a permanent presence in their area, and operate the terminals on a full-time basis.
Financial Requirements
A major requirement is the ability to deploy a minimum of 50 lottery terminals at the start of operations. Applicants must pay FCFA50,000 (US$88) per terminal as a deposit, amounting to FCFA2.5 million (US$4,425) for 50 terminals.
They must also provide FCFA20,000 (US$35) per terminal for initial reloading, bringing the total initial financial requirement for 50 terminals to FCFA3.5 million (US$6,195).
LNB stated that both payments will be refunded if an applicant is not selected.
Meanwhile, successful Master Distributors will work closely with the relevant LNB Regional Agency Manager to monitor outlet performance and improve sales across their assigned areas. They will also be required to comply with LNB’s rules governing the distance between points of sale.
The initiative highlights LNB’s efforts to widen its retail footprint while creating opportunities for businesses to participate in the growth of Benin’s lottery and gaming distribution network.
