Burkina Faso Lottery Adds 70 Staff

Burkina Faso – The Burkina Faso lottery has recruited 70 new employees to strengthen operations and support its long-term growth strategy.

The move reflects ongoing efforts to improve capacity, enhance service delivery and expand the country’s regulated sports betting and lottery ecosystem. It also signals continued investment in human capital as the operator positions itself for sustained market growth.

Burkina Faso Lottery Strengthens Operational Capacity

The new hires will support key departments including marketing, information technology, internal audit, sales, human resources, accounting and legal services.

They were officially welcomed during an induction ceremony held on August 3 at LONAB’s headquarters.

Director general Ibrahim Zarani said the recruitment followed a rigorous process designed to attract the right expertise. He noted that the new workforce will help the organisation deliver economic and social value while improving operational efficiency.

The expansion is expected to enhance internal processes, strengthen compliance and support the lottery’s broader strategic objectives.

Investment in Talent and Industry Growth

LONAB said human capital remains central to its long-term development plans.

Human resources director Léa Bonkoungou explained that the induction programme will help employees understand the organisation’s structure, operations and values.

The recruitment aligns with broader efforts to strengthen the online gambling and lottery sectors through improved service delivery and operational excellence.

It also reflects the growing need for skilled professionals as Africa’s gaming industry continues to evolve.

Expanding Reach Across Lottery and Betting Markets

The Burkina Faso lottery has recently expanded its PMU’B retail network and improved regional sales performance.

It has also created more than 170 direct jobs through its initiatives, reinforcing its role in national economic development.

The operator continues to invest in infrastructure, workforce and digital systems to support growth in regulated gaming markets.

This includes areas linked to esports betting odds, mobile platforms and changing consumer behaviour across Africa.

As the market grows, LONAB is positioning itself to remain competitive while maintaining strong regulatory compliance and operational standards.
