New Leadership to Steer Benin Lottery’s Digital and Governa-nce Agenda

Benin’s National Lottery (LNB SA) has appointed Marius Adanzounon as its new Director General, marking the beginning of a new phase focused on digital transformation and operational modernisation.

Adanzounon officially assumed office on June 16, succeeding Gaston Zossou, who led the lottery for the past 10 years. The transition follows a decade of governance reforms that strengthened the organisation and positioned it for future growth.

During the handover ceremony, Chairwoman of the Board Sarah Kpénou commended Zossou’s leadership, highlighting the structural reforms achieved under his tenure. She said the lottery’s next chapter will prioritise digitalisation, modern management practices, and continued adaptation to the evolving lottery and gaming industry.

Outgoing Director General Gaston Zossou congratulates Marius Adanzounon following the official handover of leadership at the National Lottery of Benin.

One of the key achievements under Zossou’s leadership was LNB SA’s listing on the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM), a milestone that enhanced the lottery’s corporate governance and strengthened its position in the regional market.

The appointment of Adanzounon reflects LNB SA’s commitment to driving innovation, improving operational efficiency, and positioning the lottery for sustainable growth in an increasingly competitive gaming landscape.
