LONACI Enhances Information Security in Pursuit of Global Standards
Côte d’Ivoire’s National Lottery (LONACI) has taken another step toward achieving ISO 27001 certification after successfully completing a mock audit of its Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Conducted on June 26 at the lottery operator’s headquarters in Marcory, the exercise forms part of LONACI’s efforts to strengthen information security and align its operations with internationally recognised standards.
The mock audit, carried out with the support of consultancy firm INOVATEC, followed an internal audit held in April and assessed the implementation of corrective measures, as well as the organisation’s readiness to meet the requirements of the ISO 27001:2022 standard.
The exercise was attended by LONACI Director General Dramane Coulibaly, Deputy Director General AbdoulKarim Ouattara, members of the executive committee, and employees responsible for the Information Security Management System.
LONACI said it will continue implementing the recommendations identified during the assessment before engaging an accredited certification body to conduct the official certification audit.
If successful, the certification will confirm that the lottery operator meets global best practices for managing information security risks and safeguarding sensitive data.
