LIMPOPO GAMBLING BOARD HOLDS TWO-DAY PLANNING SESSION TO REVIEW ICT MODERNISATION, FINANCES AND GOVERNANCE FOR 2027/28
Limpopo- Gambling Board (LGB) held a two-day planning session on October 8–9. Officials wanted to assess performance and set priorities for the 2027/28 financial year. The LGB focused on regulatory efficiency and financial sustainability. It also covered ICT modernisation, governance, and new challenges in the province’s gambling sector.
The session’s outcome should shape the Board’s future performance targets. However, the LGB has not yet announced any specific decisions.
LGB Looks at ICT Modernisation
Information and communications technology (ICT) modernisation was a key focus. The LGB considered ways to upgrade its systems. It also looked at how better technology could improve its regulatory operations. As a result, stronger systems could help the Board work more efficiently.
Procurement and Controls Under Review
The LGB also reviewed its procurement processes. Internal controls and risk management came under the spotlight as well. These reviews aim to improve resource allocation. They also support better operational efficiency across the Board.
Revenue Trends Shape Financial Planning
Financial sustainability featured strongly in the discussions. The LGB examined industry revenue trends. It also considered ways to strengthen its long-term financial position. In addition, officials discussed legislative developments and financial management.
Partners Join the Planning Session
