LONAB Praises Banfora Agency for 97% First-Half Performance in 2026

Loterie Nationale du Burkina has recognised the strong performance of its Banfora agency, which achieved 97.03 per cent of its first-half 2026 target despite facing operational constraints.

The achievement was highlighted during a leadership visit on July 15 led by chairman Maxime Compaoré and director general Ibrahim Zarani as part of an ongoing tour of the organisation’s regional operations.

According to Nicole Yilboudo, the Banfora agency delivered strong results even while operating with limited staff capacity. The visiting delegation was received by agency head Abdoul Ouedraogo, with discussions focused on performance, operational challenges and growth opportunities.

Ouedraogo noted that understaffing and recurring internet connectivity issues in certain areas continue to affect day-to-day operations. He added that the visit demonstrated leadership’s willingness to engage directly with field teams and address their concerns.

Compaoré praised the agency’s performance, describing it as a key contributor to LONAB’s operations, and commended staff for their dedication and professionalism. He reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to supporting the agency in overcoming its challenges and sustaining its performance.

Director general Zarani echoed this support, noting that steps are being taken to strengthen staffing levels and resolve technical issues, particularly connectivity challenges. The visit concluded with a tour of the agency’s facilities.

LONAB said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to enhance engagement with regional teams, better understand operational realities and strengthen overall organisational performance.
