The Enugu State Gaming Commission is ramping up its focus on payment infrastructure ahead of the upcoming Enugu Gaming Conference 2026, as digital transactions continue to redefine Africa’s gaming ecosystem.
The Commission is calling on fintech firms and payment solution providers to take part in the conference, highlighting the growing importance of seamless and secure financial technologies within the gaming industry.
According to the regulator, payment systems have evolved from basic support services into critical drivers of industry growth. Key focus areas include deposits and withdrawals, Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, fraud prevention, wallet integration, and cross-border payment solutions.
The Commission noted that as Africa’s gaming market becomes increasingly digital, trusted payment providers will play a central role in ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and overall ecosystem integrity.
The development reflects a broader industry shift, where fintech innovation is becoming increasingly tied to the future growth and sustainability of gaming across the continent.
